Press Releases

On February 1st, Representative Jake Ellzey (TX-06) released the following statement:

“It was my privilege to preside over The House during the passage of H.R. 497 – The Freedom for Healthcare Workers Act.” said Ellzey, “This bill ends the COVID vaccine mandate on our healthcare workers and the COVID-19 Health Emergency Declaration issued by the Department of Health and Human Services. Over a year after we have returned to work, school, and normalcy, this Administration and HHS continue to ignore the science and limit the personal health choices of our frontline nurses and doctors.

“As a member of the Appropriations Subcommittee that oversees and funds the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, I will work to ensure that unelected bureaucrats do not have the authority or resources to impose COVID Vaccine mandates. Those elected to office who are accountable to voters should be the ones making the laws, not individuals hired by the Washington establishment.”
