Project Description and Statement of Public Benefit: To help surge resources into prevention and treatment activities aimed at addressing rising rates of child abuse in Texas. Children’s Health’s REACH Clinic works alongside the Dallas Police Department, Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, the District Attorney’s Office, and Child Protective Services (CPS) while utilizing the resources and medical subspecialties at Children’s Health to ensure children across North Texas who endure abuse and neglect receive the most accurate diagnoses and comprehensive, highest quality care. Such support will increase the hospital’s Referral and Evaluation of At-Risk Children (REACH) Clinic’s service offerings and the number of patients it can treat and ensure it remains at the forefront of the latest evidence-based practices and treatments – driving financial stability while amplifying the clinic’s impact on the community.
