Project Description and Statement of Public Benefit: The Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC) plans to expand the services offered to industry and entrepreneurs in the North Texas region. To make this vision a reality the leadership feels there is a growing need to expand the TMAC’s Automation & Innovation Center’s capabilities. The funding will allow for the acquisition of new robotics and other smart manufacturing technology capabilities, along with the development of new mobile demonstration capabilities of the same, that will provide North Texas area manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and start-ups with access to advanced manufacturing technology, advanced workforce training, new product innovation and entrepreneurial support.
