Project Description and Statement of Public Benefit: The 0.5 MG elevated storage tank will directly benefit the southern portion of Glenn Heights, located within Texas Congressional District 6 (TX-06). This project is essential to ensuring a safe, reliable water supply and enhancing fire protection for residents and businesses in this rapidly growing area.
A recent hydraulic study identified the need for additional storage capacity in the southern portion of the city to maintain adequate water pressure, system reliability, and emergency reserves. Without this new tank, the city’s ability to support current and future growth while ensuring consistent water service would be significantly limited.
This project will:
• Improve water system reliability by increasing storage capacity where it is most needed.
• Enhance fire protection by ensuring sufficient water availability for emergency response.
• Support continued growth and development by providing the necessary infrastructure for new homes and businesses.
This investment is a critical step toward strengthening Glenn Heights' water infrastructure, ensuring sustainability and resilience as the city continues to expand within TX-06.
